- Liam Saunderscomplete waste of time, I'm sad I don't see more of my classmates who expressed this as well, i feel like it was just the runaround its a perfect example of "education" stained by bureaucracy, most of the learning you do is undone with copy paste paperwork where you could be right but if it isn't exactly as the book says it's wrong.read moreread lessGrace CollinsAmazing! - akiko omuraThe course was amazing and so much fun! We had the best time today learning to make coffee and try latte art.read moreread lessJaeyeon JungVery poor quality. Did not learn anything. The instructor was careless and did not help me in anything. At the beginning of the class, the instructor asked each of us to know the beginners so that she would pay more attention to them. And later she told me that she will take care of me after the break because I told her that I was struggling. However, after the break, when I asked for a help, she just yelled and walked away even though I was a beginner. She was too busy communicating and taking care of the people who already had an experience in making coffee. So, because the instructor did not care about me at all, I did not learn anything and I literally wasted all that money. I would never, ever recommend this course to anyone ++ 웃ㄱ고있네 그날 내 담당자가 누구였는지도 모르면서. 커피스쿨담당자님들아 잘됭징똥않는 구글번역기로 열심힝 돌려봥랑ㅋㅋread moreread lessRobyn WestonGreat day with Brett learning to make a great coffee. - J GardeThe course was great! I had some idea of how to make a coffee (or so I thought) made very clear different types of coffees, regional variants a short history of the origin of coffee and what goes into a bean. Best type and time to use bean and some brief tasting notes, Importance of the grind size (super important) and how to read a coffee machine to identify why or what is going on or wrong with any coffee at any given time. I came from the course with a full confidence on making any coffee from start of day to proper cleaning procedures and upkeep of the machine at the end with improved knowledge of how to trouble shoot myself which I previously lacked. The teacher was nothing short of a master of his trade and had clearly been in the coffee game for many years. I Recommend this highly for beginners or skilled workers who are looking to refine their skills. Seeing the Changes and improvements I have changed my ratings to four Stars with the recommendation that there needs to be a follow up course after this one for students who wish to further refine their skills. Great work guys keep producing better barristers for us our industry needs them.read moreread less

- RileyHaving complete the Accredited Barista course, overall I would reccomend people looking to learn about making coffee to seek their training elsewhere. Issues with the espresso machines and grinders were rife, with myself and multiple other students having to switch machines as the instructor acknowledged there were issues with them. The first half an hour of my course was spent trying to learn with faulty equipment which limited my opportunity to pull shots. Seccondly, there was roughly 20 students with only one instructor who I was lucky to get 5 minutes with for the whole course. This is a poor teacher to student ratio in an environmemt like this. Thirdly, the instructor was having trouble demonstrating how to pull shots and put it down to the idiosyncrasies of each machine. Lastly, the learning area is cramped and dirty, you will have to share equipment and compete for space with other students and moving around is hazardous. I would not reccomend this course provided by Coffee School and advise anyone interested in barista training to seek it elsewhere.read moreread lessToddDid the course one Saturday recently and enjoyed it thoroughly. Although our teacher was filling in for another teacher that day, and knew little as to the academic workings of an accredited course, he certainly knew his stuff in terms of making and judging a top quality coffee, and assisting each student in creating it. The class was excellent, 11 people in total, ranging from mums wanting to go back into the workforce, to kids just outta school preparing for new jobs, to a French Canadian Tourist, to a young Asian couple who had both just graduated from Uni as Doctors of Medicine, and have been given a manual machine and don't know how to use it! It was great to have this diversity, trust me. >>>>>>> There are a few things that people should keep in mind when doing a course like this .. (1) no matter what training you do, if you are moving into the hospitality/cafe industry, you will receive additional training as to the specific recipes of the hot beverages at the cafe anyways, so it isn't the be all and end all of coffee training (2) don't be frustrated that you don't perfect the use of a manual machine in one day, you likely wont. (4) coffee art is secondary ... and from my observation, people don't care for the art as much as they do for a good textured, quality coffee, so don't freak out that you are having difficulty with free pouring etc., it will come with time anyways.<<<<<< Just a quick word for the staff at Coffee School HQ, the communication was smooth and relatively quick, so if you have any questions about the written assessments or anything, there is always that support afterwards anyways. I would recommend this course, but i do recommend you are realistic with yourself before you go, and know that is is merely a course to get you familiar with coffee machines, good coffee and a basic understanding of technique ... the rest will come with time, out in the field.read moreread less
